ST02: Route 11 (Valley Avenue)

Project Purpose

The focus of this study is to assess historical crashes on Route 11 (Valley Avenue) and identify ways to improve safety. Weems Lane/Cedar Creek Grade is Potential for Safety Improvement (PSI) Intersection #18 and Middle Road is PSI Intersection #24. The segment between Bellview Avenue to the railroad crossing is PSI Segment #13. Access management is expected to play a key role in the solutions. Multimodal accessibility will be evaluated (very high needs for bicycle, pedestrian, and transit access) and solutions recommended where appropriate to improve upon existing conditions.
