The Phase 2 survey regarding potential improvements along U.S. Route 19/460 (Governor George C. Peery Hwy./Trail of the Lonesome Pine) between Route 637 (Limestone Rd.) and west of Route 637 (Pounding Mill Branch Rd.) in Tazewell County is complete.

Project Purpose

The purpose of this study is to identify project recommendations for the U.S. Route 19/460 (Governor George C. Peery Highway/Trail of the Lonesome Pine) corridor within Tazewell County. This study will focus on improving roadway safety and preserving the capacity of the corridor. The project recommendations that come from this study will be developed into funding applications for SMART SCALE Round 6 and other transportation funding programs.
